Along with increasing the average price of the match tickets for the upcoming season, the Hammers also removed discounts for U21, U18 and senior citizen fans. The general sale prices for the game against Man City on August 31 has left the supporters fuming as they called out the club's decision on social media.

@TonyFinnComms questioned the club's decision to remove discounts as he wrote: "I cannot believe this is happening. The charging structure for OAPs and kids is an absolute scandal. What on earth are we doing???"

@PeterKing1968 called the price rise a 'disgrace' as he wrote: "Those prices are an absolute disgrace, pure greed, Sullivan and Brady out."
