Palmer pulled out of Carsley's previous squad through injury but the 22-year-old is available for the October fixtures. Palmer has played for England nine times but he did not start any matches at Euro 2024 under previous coach Gareth Southgate. He did, however, come off the bench to set up Ollie Watkins' late winner against the Netherlands in the semi-final before going on to score the equaliser in the final against Spain as a substitute.
