U.S. international Alyssa Thompson is reportedly in talks about a potential transfer from Angel City to Chelsea FC, and will miss the NWSL club's match against Bay FC on Monday night.

According to journalist Tom Garry, Angel City will excuse the absence as the forward awaits clearance to travel to London. Thompson's younger sister, Gisele, also plays for Angel City.

Thompson is one of the brightest young stars in the U.S. women's national team, and she could potentially join American teammates Naomi Girma and Cat Macario at Stamford Bridge. In NWSL, Thompson scored 16 goals in 62 appearances for the club and has three goals for the USWNT.
